Year 4 Educational Visit to Bramhall Hall

Year 4 are thoroughly enjoying our Tudors topic. They have already been researching Tudor royals and planned their own Tudor house to start making. As a class, we are thoroughly looking forward to our trip to Bramall Hall on Monday 31st March where we will step back in time to the Tudor times and be involved with a living history day. Historical evidence is already being gathered and our Tudor Royals are being investigated!

Magic Mania

The children had an amazing afternoon presenting our magic shows and homework to so many parents. Thank you for joining us for such a wonderful afternoon.

Welcome to Year 4 Spring Term

Pure Magic!

What an amazing day Year 4 is having with our visitor. We've had the chance to handle artefacts, be in a real air raid and administer first aid. This afternoon we're really excited about using the WW2 water cannons. We love living history. What a wonderful half term year 4 is having. We hope that you enjoyed our clarinet assembly today. The children made me and the school very proud.

Welcome to Year 4

What an exciting new start to a new year. We've a fun and full packed curriculum this half term discovering geographical aspects of volcanoes. Keep browsing for updated photographs of the children making and exploding their own.
Year 4 have the wonderful opportunity of learning how to play the clarinet this year and to continue to develop their swimming skills this term too. What an awful lot of new skills your children will acquire.
The children are really progressing well with their writing. They have published their own newspaper article. Read the articles below:

Spring Term 1 2014

Our creative curriculum topic this half term is Pirates.

Our adventure began when a 'lost keys' poster appeared in our classroom.

We then explored around the school grounds in search of the keys and found them near the Foundation Stage Unit. We wrote letters to Nora to find out what they were for and what we should do with them.

She has written back to us and was kind enough to send us a Pirate book as thanks for locating the keys. We used the book and Nora's letters to help us in our Literacy and topic work.

Spring Term 2 2014

Our creative curriculum topic this half term is... Nocturnal Animals. Over the half term holiday Miss Trasler noticed that some strange things kept happening in her garden. We examined photos she took each morning. Year Two decided that there must have been an animal in the garden during the night. They researched at home and found out that animals that are active at night are called nocturnal animals. We decided this would be our topic for the half term.
