Praise Pathway

This fabulous idea taken from Muddy Church webpage promotes for Palm Sunday creating a Positive Pathway.

Imagine walking past this on a driveway.

Everyone can benefit from hearing and seeing positive messages.

At home can children create their own positive pathway? Can they share it with their class teachers on our learning platform Seesaw?

Y4 Growth

Year 4 have learnt so much about germination by watching their broad beans grow. They potted them in British Science week only in a plastic bottle with tissue paper and watered them. Since then they have observed 20 days of growth. Initially, the root started to sprout and by day 6 there were signs of the shoot appearing. Year 4 have been fascinated by the roots spouting and how it kept multiplying and branching off. As the days went on, Year 4 observed the shoot really growing and by day 16 some of our little broad breans had started to grow leaves.

Marvellous Merits

Well done to our Year 4 winners this week. it's been a great week for everyone. Polly for her great scientific ideas and Ella for her role play characterisation, Luca and Holly for their continual respect, being ready and safe and for James, our handwriting champion and Luca, our Ninja vocab star. Well done Year 4.

Perfect Polish

The rest of ththe class had the opportuning to zoom their friends in their Polish school. They loved asking questions and practising speaking Polish. What a fabulous time they had.

The Terrible Tudors

Year 4 had a fabulous time being Queen Elizabeth 1 and Sir Francis Drake when they reinacted the attempted invasion of England by King Phillip II of Spain with his Spanish Armada.

Tremendous Tudor Houses

Look at Year 4,s amazing homework projects where they had to make their Tudor house. They have done really well to capture the black and white mottle and daub, the over hanging upstairs and the leaded window.

Marvellous Music

Year 4 have been learning Greensleeves in our music lessons to fit with our Tudor topic. I'm sure you can agree, that the class is doing really well and progressing nicely with their penny whistles. They have now managed to learn additional notes - the F# and high D. Well done Year 4.

Super Bean Growth

Year 4 have been watching their broad beans grow steadily this week. It was fabulous to see how they are able to watch the root and shoot crack out of the seed. Some of the beans unfortunately aren't doing so well but others are growing amazingly. These will be being planted in our new vegetable beds very soon.

Disgusting Digestion

Year 4 have been learning about digestion and how food is processed. They have worked well together to create a life size model of the digestive system and managed to label the parts too.

New to BBF - Wellbeing Wednesdays!

Our Pupil Leaders have decided that every Wednesday is a wellbeing 'check-in' day. On Wellbeing Wednesday we take time to chat, to do yoga, meditation and share things on our mind. Staff and pupils are joining in with these special days every week. Join in at home too and talk to each other.
