Year 2 have been reading the Australian story book called Wombat Stew so we decided to go and make our own wombat stew. Firstly we collected lots of discgusting ingredients from the school grounds like mud, twigs, stones, leaves and grass. Then the children acted out the story and took on the roles the Australian animals and chanted the rhyme. It was lots of fun! We have now written out instructions for how to make wombat stew.
