Blue Planet Aquarium

Blue Planet Aquarium

Today we went under the sea to The Blue Planet aquarium to Identify and classify creatures, i.e. whether they’re herbivores, carnivores, or omnivores, answer questions based on their observation, learn to name different oceans and Compare living things and objects using simple features. The children participated in a 'Drowning in Plastics workshop where they identified materials, listed their properties to compare materials (Science), and learnt how the environment is affected (Geography). The children got to get up close and personal to a range of animals including: sting rays, sharks, octopuses, tarantulas, pythons, a variety of fish, frogs and much more. The children learned about different habitats and the effects of plastic pollution on our marine life. Thank you to our three parent helpers who came along with us too!
