Year 5 loved using the multi-link cubes to make their cube numbers last week! This visual and kinesthetic learning helped them to consolidate how a cube number is formed by multiplying any given number by itself twice. The symbol for cubed is ³ They learnt that 8 x 8 x 8 (or 8³) = 64 by fixing that amount of cubes. We ran out of cubes after that but most of Year 5 now know their cube number facts, as well as their square numbers! Brilliant work Yar 5! Mrs Blomeley
