Welcome back! I hope you all had a resting half term break celebrating Halloween and Bonfire night. This half term, we are exploring a fantastic classical piece of music through BBC’s Ten Pieces project by the famous composer Modest Mussorgsky, ‘A Night on Bare Mountain.’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DX1Vf5lIRXE. This legendary piece was created for the traditional film ‘Fantasia.’ From this, we will be writing spooky stories using the music to provoke different emotions into our writing. We will be exploring noun phrases, adverbs, fronted adverbials and compound sentences to develop our writing skills. Our new Science topic is ‘Humans and Animal Bodies.
