Tree planting

Year 4 had a fantastic time planting trees on the school grounds with the help of educators from City of Trees..  They learnt how to plant the saplings and the importance of trees for humans and the environment.  Well done Year 4.  I cant wait to see the trees grow!  Mrs Anson


Handwriting winners Autumn 2

We are using a new scheme in school called 'Letterjoin'. All of these children have impressed their teachers! Their magnificent work has been displayed on our writing display near Mrs Parker's office.


Year 4's Outdoor Learning Day!

Year 4 had a great time during their Outdoor Learning Day!  As well as planting trees around the school field with City of Trees, they used their photography skills to take photographs using forced perspective!  The results were brilliant but, most importantly,  everyone had great fun!  


Year 4's Taste of Christmas in Poland!

Year 4 are enjoying their current topic about Christmas around the World.  They had a real treat when Miss Laitil gave a presentation about Christmas in Poland recenty!  They even had the chance to taste some Polish treats such as Barszcz (Beetroot Soup), Paszteciki (Mushroom Parcels) and Makowiec (Poppy Seed Cake).  The class used what they had learnt to write their fantastic non-chronological reports.  Well done!  Mrs Blomeley


Fanastic Fundraising by Alfie for Children In Need!

Two weeks ago Alfie started his sponsored bike ride in aid of Children in Need!   Amazingly, he managed to raise a massive £585 for Children In Need!  Well done Alfie!  We are all so proud of you for being a wonderful citizen and a fantastic role model.  Mrs Blomeley


Year 4's Amazing Home Learning!

During this week of isolation, Year 4 have created some amazing pieces of home learning!  One of the tasks on their Home Learning grid was to create a Christmas English flag!  Here is a selection of their work, with flags from Henry, Dylan, Daniel, Abigail and Lexi.   Making a symmetrical patten was one of the Maths on the Move tasks and we have a great example from Sam who used Stickle Bricks very effectively.  Finally, we have an amazing dinosaur from Xander, who used his creative pens!  Well done Year 4.  This is brilliant work!  Mrs Blomeley


Maths At Home Competition Entries!

Year 4 making blobsters in Forest School

Y4 have had a fantastic time in their forest school sessions over the last 2 weeks.  They have been learning how to idenfiy different leaves and trees, playing the forest ranger game and making blobsters from clay to look after the forest.
