Cameron's VE Day Preparations!

Cameron has been busy preparing for his VE Day Party on Friday!  He has designed a special medal and coloured in bunting to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day!  Well done Cameron! I hope you and your family have an amazing party!  Mrs Blomeley

Connor's Super Science!

Connor enjoyed sorting all the images and statements into the correct groups of invertebrates:  mammals, amphibians, birds, reptiles and fish.  Well done Connor! Mrs Blomeley

Tilly's Quarantined Kitten!

Tilly and Finlay had fun planting some broccoli, cucumber and cat grass seeds!   The cat grass has already grown and their two kittens love it!

Tilly wanted to let us know that one of her kittens broke his leg and had to have surgery. He's recovering well but had to be in quarantine himself and so they made him a little sign to try and cheer him up!  I'm pleased to hear that he is feeling much better and enjoying having cuddles again with his brother!

Tilly's Life Skills and Fun Activities!

As well as her "Stair Challenge" and her exercise regime, Tilly has been busy doing a lot of other things as you can see in her photographs!  She's been learning some new skills, including cooking and baking.  She has made: Spaghetti Bolognese, Easter Nests, Cheese, Bean and Sausage Pasties (her mum said they tasted better than Greggs'!), a Lemon Drizzle cake (for her Grandma's birthday),  Pizzas, Carrot Cake and Chocolate Concrete Cake!  Wow!  She also helped to make an afternoon tea for her grandma and grandad for their anniversary, as well as helping out with the family BBQ's!

Tilly Keeps Active!

Wow!  As you can see from these photographs, Tilly has been keeping very active!  She's been doing lots of exercise including walking, running, gymnastics, boxing, dancing and lots more!  Keepp up the great work Tilly!  Mrs Blomeley

Tilly's Seven Day Stair Challenge Around The World!

Tilly has sent me these pictures of a "7 Day Stair Challenge" she did  recently with her mum. Each day, she had to climb the number of steps of a certain building from around the world (see the photographs above) and write an interesting fact about the building too! Tilly  managed 3 days but continued to help her mum (who did the full 7 days!) with researching the facts.  I love this idea and might try it myself! Mrs Blomeley

Please send in photographs of your child reading in different places at home - only send in a photograph if you are happy for it to be shared on the school website.

Can you read in the garden?

Can you read in a home-made den?

Can you read to a pet?

I will have a look at the photographs sent in and choose the most unusual/creative reader to win a prize through the post.

Laura's Lovely Bunting!

Laura has created some lovely bunting in preparation for the VE Day celebrations on Friday!  I wonder if she is having a "stay at home" VE Day party?  There are a lot of activities on the Home Learning grid to give you ideas for VE Day.  Thank you Laura for sharing your work!  Mrs Blomeley
