We loved joining in with Science Week. We tested materials to find which would be best for keeping the rain out. We looked at the difference between waterproof and not waterproof things. We absolutely loved our visit to the Science Fair!
We have been learning all about Little Red Riding Hood. We have been role playing the story in Granny's Cottage.
We all looked amazing on World Book Day dressed as our favourite characters. We enjoyed listening to some of our favourite stories. Thank you Mrs Williams, our school governor for coming in to read 'What the Ladybird Heard'.
We had a fantastic time on pancake day. We followed a recipe and made our own pancakes. They tasted delicious! We discussed Lent and talked about our favourite food that we could give up.
We have been learning all about pirates. We made some fantastic pirate ship collages, painted pirates, parrots and we even went on a treasure hunt!
We loved tasting all the different Chinese foods. Prawn crackers were our favourite!
We had lots of fun making Chinese lanterns and dragons for the Year of the Rooster.
We had a big surprise when we found out Elsa had frozen all her friends by mistake. We discussed ways to unfreeze them, the children decided to add warm water, salt/de-icer, a warm coat and a warm room. We tried all the different ways to see which would melt the characters the fastest. We found out that the warm water melted the ice the fastest.
We had fun exploring the ice. We discussed reasons why it was melting and how it was changing.
