Our amazing production of A Midwife Crisis was a huge success! Well done everyone, we're very proud of you! Thank you to everyone who came to watch, we hope you enjoyed the show.
Year 2 had a visit from the fire service today, it was very exciting! The firemen talked to us about how fire fighting has changed since the great fire of London and showed us what they wear to protect themselves. We then explored the fire truck and everyone had a turn firing the hose!
As part of R.E. week we have been learning about the story of Jonah and the Whale. We had a visit from Reverend Julie today who shared lots of stories with us.
As part of our fire topic we have learnt about Guy Fawkes and created some bonfire pictures. We have also recieved a letter from Queen Elizabeth asking us to research about the 'The Great Fire of London'. The children used the ipads to do some research and created their own collages. We have now written information books and sent them back to the Queen so she can read them.
Year 2 had a fantastic time last week during Woodlands Week. We made woodland crowns, dens, leaf people, Andy Goldsworthy inspired art work as well as enjoyed a whole school trip to Lyme Park.
Welcome to Year 2. Miss Trasler and Year 2 have been getting off into space. The children were extremely animated in finding a fallen star on the school field.

Our adventure began when a 'lost keys' poster appeared in our classroom.
We then explored around the school grounds in search of the keys and found them near the Foundation Stage Unit. We wrote letters to Nora to find out what they were for and what we should do with them.
She has written back to us and was kind enough to send us a Pirate book as thanks for locating the keys. We used the book and Nora's letters to help us in our Literacy and topic work.
