Tag rugby in year 6

Our sports coach Mr Williams has been really impressed with the progress that year 6 have made with their tag rugby skills over the last four weeks. They are understanding the rules better and are becoming skilled at passing the ball with two hands.

Well done everyone.

Kasia has set such a good example in her role as Head Girl- she is already doing so well at her role.

Alfie and Maycie won the Good to be Green Award for following our school values all week.

Our Reading Competition winners are Xander and Lexi who will have their posters displayed in the KS2 Library.

Our winners are: Y2- Matilda H and Reeva Y3- Vincent and Chloe Y4- Hollie and Renie Y5- Mia and Sam Y6- Lexi and Xander.

Broadbent Fold vs St Mary’s, Dukinfield

Broadbent Fold's boys football team had a fantastic first match of the year against St Mary's Catholic Primary School. It was a close game with St Mary's winning 3-2. Well done to everybody who played and braved the rain. Daniel was the player of the match for getting stuck in and showing some great defending skills. Good luck to the girls who have their first game next week!

Y6 Star of the week 16-9-22

Well done to our superstars in Year 6 Henry and Jack.

Henry wrote a very funny 'Diary of the life of a pair of socks'. I see real potential in his writing this year. Well done Henry.

Jack is polite, mature, respectful and hard working. What more could I ask for? Thank you for being so wonderful Jack.

Our good to be green winners are Mia and Lucy for following our school values.

Place Value

We have used our gattengno charts this week to support our knowledge of place value. These are really useful when multiplying and dividing by powers of ten.
