Check out the Gallery for all our fabulous World Book Day photographs. What an amazing day in store we have planned, starting off with a visit from author Micheal Thane.
This morning Zoe Ball's breakfast radio mentioned our school and our 500 words winners.
I will get the radio show up for the children to listen to, but you can get it on catch-up on the link below.
We are mentioned around 13 mintes 50 seconds.
How exciting!
Congratulations to our official storywriters of the 500 words competition 2020. We are exceptionally proud of all of you all. Well done
500 Words is the UK’s most successful short story-writing competition for children between the ages of 5 and 13 run by Radio 2.
All entrants have created an original story, no more than 500 words in length, and submitted it online. Themes have been about – space-ships, grannies, insects, time travel.
What are the prizes?
I would like to wish all families a happy and safe half term. I hope you get to enjoy lots of family time.
Look at Tameside libraries for fun science activities. Jodrell Bank have stargazing nights on - some nights are so clear you can see the planets; Neptune and Mercury!
Have a game of football or scrabble with your family and keep warm.
See you back on Monday 24th February all refreshed.
I would just like to say a huge thank you to our year 6 pupils and families for attending our knife crime talk this morning. I am very proud of you all for listening to some hard-hitting information.
My job as a headteacher is to get pupils prepared for the wide world. I am sure this workshop will be remembered and it will keep them safe.
Well done to all our pupils who took part in the cross country running competition. With a special mention to Albert Williams who ran in the older boys race and didn't start until some were half way round the first lap and he still managed to over take quite a few people. Great job! Also to our year 6 boys, Liam and Oliver who have both received letters about representing Tameside in the Greater Manchester Cross Country Race next Saturday. Quite an achievement - well done. We wish Liam and Oliver lots of luck.
