We love our PE sessions with the sports coaches. We are developing our football skills and practising throwing and catching.

Year 5's enthusiasm for our Victorian topic is amazing!  So far they have written diaries to empathise with the miserable life of a workhouse child and delved into the daily drudgery of a poor chimney sweep boy.  "Hot Seating" is where a child takes on the role of a character to answer questions from the rest of the class.  Year 5 have impressed me by their carefully thought out questions and the attention to detail from the Hot Seat characters.  Well done Year 5!   I am looking forward to a great year ahead!   Mrs Blomeley

The children have been ordering the story of Winnie the Witch and writing sentences for each picture. Well done everybody for your amazing independent writing this week.

Artist Viv Miller, Acrylic and Oil on Canvas, has inspired children and teachers into producing some fabulous art work using watercolours and wax!

Welcome to the Year 1 Blog. This half term our topic is Witches and Wizards. We will be reading lots of exciting stories about witches and wizards, concentrating on improving our writing by including adjectives and writing labels of our magical potions. It is going to be a very busy half term.

Welcome back everyone! We are very proud of all our children, they are settling in really well. We have been busy learning new routines and exploring all the different areas to learn in throughout the classroom.

Year 2 have written amazing poems about the missing star! They used Twinkle, Twinkle for inspiration and then thought of some lovely adjectives to describe the star. We have created a Space display in our classroom with all of the fantastic poems and super space paintings.

Year 2 have been enjoying their new Space topic. We heard a report that a star had fallen in Dukinfield so we went to investigate. The children found a possible landing site on the school field and have been busy writing newspaper reports!

I cannot believe another year has gone by! We have had an amazing year and are so proud of each and every one of our children. They have all worked so hard and made fantastic progress! Here are some snap shots of our 'best bits' from throughout the year.
