Year 5 enjoyed reading their Spy Narrative stories to some of the Year 3 children last week! Year 5 had worked hard to create their spy and villain descriptions, as well as enticing the reader in to their atmospheric settings! The feedback from Year 3 was pretty impressive! Well done Year 5! We are finishing this half term on the high with a record amount of awards. We had Head Teacher's Awards for effort in writing and enthusiasm in Maths. As always, there were two Good to Be Green lottery winners. We had Attendence Awards and a Vocabulary Ninja Champion. Well done to all Year 3 children for working so hard. Enjoy a well deserved rest. A big well done to the Year 3 children who have received certificates today. The Head Teacher's certificates were awarded for great work in maths and reading. We also had two Good to Be Green raffle winners and another Bronze Award. Keep up the good work!
After our very successful October reading challenge, the Reading Ambassadors have set a new one. Please complete a book review on one of your favourite books using the template which will be sent home. Please hand in your completed book review to your teacher by Friday 20th January for the chance of winning a prize. The best book reviews will be sent to Tameside Libraries who will display them on their Twitter feed.
I can't wait to find out which books you have all been reading!
