Year 4's Digestion Dilemma!

Year 4 had a lot of fun learning about parts of the Digestion System!  They enjoyed drawing the outline of the bodies, then placing the body parts in the right places!  Some were easy but others were tricky!  Well done Year 4 - you are super scientists!  Mrs Blomeley

Year 4's Certificate Celebrations!

Year 4 have been working so hard since they came back to school!  On Friday, every single person in the class received a certificate, whether it be for the Merits of the Week, their Bronze award or even Silver award!  Earlier in the week, we also had medal winners from the Bingo challenge cards!   Well done to everyone - you are all super stars!  Mrs Blomeley

Year 4's British Science Week Innovations!

Year 4 enjoyed British Science Week and the challenge of designing something innovative for the classroom!  They also created some brilliant artwork in their designs for "teaching in the past, during lockdown and teaching in he future".  It was difficult to choose winners from the fantastic entries!  Well done Year 4 - we have some budding inventors i our class!  Mrs Blomeley

Year 6 Stars of the week 19-3-21

Congratulations to our Y6 Stars of the week Noah and Ethan.

Noah wrote a sentimental informal letter based on our class text 'The Arrival' He remembered to use punctuation independently which his is current target. Well done Noah!

Ethan has worked hard in maths this week solving 2 step equations in algebra. We are really impressed with your confidence this week.

Adam has received the Headteacher's Award this week for being a fantastic role model at all times. He is a pleasure to have in the class.

Safe squad workshops

Year 6 enjoyed their Safe Squad workshops yesterday.

We learned about antisocial behaviour and hate crime. We know to ring 101 if we need to report anything. They enjoyed their Esafety workshop discussing how to keep ourselves safe on socal media. We then looked at how to be aware of potential fire hazards at home and had some basic training on how to perform CPR.

A very worthwhile session.

British Science Week

Year 1 had a fantastic time taking part in British Science Week. We had an afternoon of experiments - making rainbows with skittles, making potions change colour and explode and trying to get paper to stick to a cup using just water. We also shared these experiments with Year 2 and learnt about what they had been doing in Science week. Year 1 also took part in a competition innovating products that could be used in the classroom. A big well done to Charlie and Sophia who won the competition with their amazing designs.
