Year 6 had lots of fun this morning when they recreated some Viking battles linked to our class text 'Viking Boy'.
I loved the fierce shield maidens and savage Viking warriors.
This should put us into character when writing our Viking sagas over the next few weeks.
Congratulations to our stars of the week Scarlett and Lucea.
Scarlett did thorough research about Viking warrior Ivar the Boneless and created a really detailed biography about his life. I am very impressed with your writing Scarlett.
Lucea has been practising her times tables facts and this is really clear in the progress that she is making in Maths Booster. Fantastic!
Our Good to be Green Awards go to Reuben and Harley this week.
Year 5 and 6 pupils represented Broadbent Fold at the dodgeball competition this week. The Year 5 and 6 teams played against Arlies, Greenside, Holden Clough, Pinfold and Manchester Road primary schools. A big well done to everyone who took part! Pupils got much more confident as the tournament went on and got a lot more stuck in working really well as a team and encouraging each other.
A special mention to Xander who won the schools games respect award for showing great respect to his team mates, the opposiing team and the referees in all of the matches.
Well done to all of the children who acheived their bronze and silver awards in year 6 this week.
