Year 3 Stars of the week

A big well done to Year 3 children who have received Headteacher's Awars and Good to be pencils this week. Keep up the great work and attitude to learning.

Lest We Forget

Year 4 were very respectful during our Remembrance service yesterday. They have been very thoughtful and sensible discussing the loss of life throughout the wars. They even completed their 2 minutes silence standing on the side at Denton swimming baths at 11am. I am very proud of them.

Awards

Well done to the children who received our Head Teachers award, Good to be Green awards and bronze award this week! Keep up the hard work everybody!

Year 4 Super Stars

A massive congratulations to our merit winners- Nasir and Eva this week. Well done James and Sam for getting out Good to be Green pencils and for our cross country super stars: Faye, Oliver, Sam, James and Maisie. What a brilliant week.

Remembrance Day

Year 1 have been learning all about Remembrance Day and why we wear poppies. We used collage skills to create our own poppy pictures.

Money Matters

Money Matters-

Year 3 have all spoken about how they save or spend money! They've designed and made their own money boxes from lifesavers lessons.

How to stay safe around a fire

Yesterday, we toasted marsh-mellows with Mrs Anson and learnt all  about how to stay safe around a fire. We also learnt a new song! We had the best time ever!

Stone Age Outdoor Day Year 3

Year 3 have loved learning outside today pretending to be hunter gathers. They have been throwing aiming to knock fruit to the floor (beanbags at markers on the wall) and they have acted like hunters using spears (javelins) to hunt Woolley mammoths (hoola hoops).

Thanks to Mrs Anson children got the opportunity to cook on a fire - just like the Stone age people would have done.

Children decided hunting food like Stoneage people was much harder than they thought.

What skills did Stoneage people need to hunt and gather?

Could you be a Stoneage child?

Broadbent Fold vs Yew Tree

It was a very busy night for our football teams with both the boys team and girls team playing against Yew Tree Primary School.

The girls team showed great teamwork and communication skills winning their match 1-0.

The boys team showed great perseverance throughout their match but lost 3-2. Harley was the player of the match for his fantastic defending skills.

Well done to everyone that played and thank you to Yew Tree for organising the matches.
