Space

This half term we are learning all about space! We've been learning about the planets in our solar system and we will be finding more out about space travel. We've also created these fantastic space pictures using oil pastels.

Please see the attached documents for this weeks spellings. Children will be given a copy on Monday-please practise your spellings in your spelling book at home using the games sheet in your homework book. I have also attached some games that will be played regularly in school to learn spellings. Also use spellingframe.co.uk

Y6 Stars of the week 11-9-20

A huge well done to this weeks stars of the week Coban and Kacie.

Coban's positivity and enthusiasm are lovely to have in the class.

Kacie has worked hard in every subject, every day.

Great Y6 role models.

Roald Dahl Day 2020

To celebrate Roahl Dahl Day on 13/9/20 Year 6 followed a tutorial by Quentin Blake, the man who illustrated most of the Roald Dahl books, to create these amazing sketches of Willy Wonka. I love how they are all unique. The children enjoyed it so much they had a go at drawing some other Roald Dahl characters.

Y6 stars of the week 4-9-20

Well done to Isabella and Aarron our first stars of the week in Y6. Both children have shown great attitudes to learning and enthusiasm.

Well done to Maisie for completing the Tameside Library summer reading challenge.

Well done to Lily for winning the parents award at football training.

Well done to Nathan for winning the player of the year at football training.

Welcome to Year 3

What a fantastic start we have had to the new school year. We've had a mysterious balloon arrive in the bushes in Year 3 and a very excited class to be back with their friends learning new and exciting topic. We're looking forward to finding out about volcanoes, travelling around the world, reading Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and investigating forces in action. Check out our medium term planning for our updates.

Awards ceremony

Class of 2020! You have been amazing!

The children voted for special awards to present each other with. We zoomed each others bubble so that we could watch each other. Thank you to Mrs Gething for your lovely leavers video- we had a few happy tears. You all thoroughly deserve your awards. Well done and good luck Year 6.

Love from Broadbent Fold :)

Year 4 Home Learning for w/c 20th July 2020

Here are this week’s Home Learning activities.  As it is the last week I have made sure they are fun!  I really like the outdoor learning activities from the Canal & River Trust as well as their ideas for Yoga.  Thank you for all your hard work during this difficult time – you have been amazing in the way you have adapted to the very tricky task of working at home!  Your parents have also been amazing so please do say thank you to them for all their help.  I hope you all have a lovely summer and I look forward to seeing you in September.
