Green and Blue Day with Max and Harvey

I am excited to tell you that we have won a competition. Next Friday on this special fund-raising day X-Factor and CBBC stars Max and Harvey will be visiting our school. They will be performing one of their songs to the children in their bubbles and take whole class selfies. They support the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital with fund raising and want to spread their thanks to our school. I am very excited and need to dust off my best outfit that is green and/or blue.

Year 3 Homework and Home Learning

Weekly

  • Regular reading several times a week
  • Spellings- sent home weekly in a spelling journal book
  • Mymaths- online maths activities, individual children's log in details are needed
  • Seesaw online-individual codes have been sent home and are needed to share home learning and complete a wide range of activities

Half Termly

  • Creative homework- theme linked to our project (see attached link below)

In addition to the above borrow box from Tameside libraries is great for online books.

Addition games!

Today in maths we were using a dice to roll 3 1digit numbers and adding them together to find the total. We used equipment to show the totals and we used pictorial representations in our books. Fantastic maths work today year 2!

Visit from the Evil Pea

Year 1 had a visit from the Evil Pea! He stole all our superpower potions that we made last week and also caused distress to lots of the vegetables. We decided to make some posters and stick them around school to see if anyone had seen him.

Niamh's science

Great scientific work about rainbows Naimh- you will be able to help your peers with this when you return to school.

I love how happy you are doing your maths too :)

Coban's work

Coban your presentation and handwriting is excellent. You do always put in 100% into your work.

I love your mature balanced argument about children being paid to go to school. Fantasic research about Henry VIII too.

Great diary entries too. You deserve a rest this weekend :)

Year 6 Stars of the week 25-9-20

Well done to Sonny for his fantastic maths work this week.

Poppy's 'Diary of a pair of socks' was very witty. Well done.

Well done to all of the children who are self-isolating for sending in their Home Learning.
