Year 6

Welcome to Year 6 and to what will be a busy and eventful final year for our class at Broadbent Fold.  There are many things planned and much work to do but nothing is impossible for our year 6! Together we can achieve anything and everything! There is even a residential visit to Rock and River planned for the 21st and 22nd of September.  Please watch out for details of this to follow very soon!

Goodbye Year 2

It has been a pleasure teaching this amazing class and I know they will be brilliant up in the juniors! We've had a lovely day with lots of games and party food. Thank you for all the memories, love Mrs Neary.

GOOD LUCK YEAR 6!

All the staff and pupils wish you all the very best for your new adventures to come. We've all enjoyed sharing the fun, laughter and good times and getting to know you over your time at Broadbent Fold -You'll be greatly missed.

Good luck Year 6 and remember you'll always be part of the Broadbent Fold family so come back and see us and we look forward to hearing your news.

VE Day Celebration!

We have sadly come to the end of a fun filled year and what a busy year it has been! We have made multiple journey's including Flying High, A Night on Bare Mountain,The Amazon Rainforest, The Stone Age, Canada and World War Two. Thank you to all parents and careers for all your continued support this year and I hope you have a relaxing and safe summer half term. Good luck to all the children moving into Year 4.

Year 5 in the Dragons' Den!

A group from Year 5 were chosen to attend the annual Enterprise Event at Ravensfield last week with their brilliant invention, The LOGO MOTIVE game!  Following their successful Bikeability training, the group invented a game that involved road safety signs and fun logos from shops, restaurants and the internet.  It was brilliant and they delivered their presentation with great confidence!  Sadly, they were pipped at the post by another school, but we will return next year to try again!      Very well done to everyone!  Mrs Blomeley

Goodbye Year 1

Our year has come to an end. It's been exciting, busy and very successful. A big well done to all the children and good luck in your new class next year. Love from Mrs Cowliing

Fabulous Homework Creations

Look at our brilliant homework projects.

The children created a rainforest animal at home and brought them into school to share at circle time. Great job everyone.

Our Time in Year 4

What a fantatsic year both of us have had teaching Year 4. It has been a pleasure to teach your child exciting topics and secure their understanding in Maths and English. We are sorely going to miss teaching the year group as we move into Nursery and Year 6. We hope you have a lovely Summer holiday and the children come back into Year 5 in September refreshed and ready to work hard.

Kind Regards

Ms McCoy and Mrs Slate

Bikeability!

Year 5 spent four mornings with the Bikeability team to gain their Bikeability awards! Bikeability is a cycle training programme which is about gaining practical skills and understanding how to cycle on today’s roads. Being safe on the roads is crucial!  Even the terrible rain on the first day did not dishearten Year 5 - they carried on regardless - and should be extremely proud that they achieved their Level 1 and Level 2 awards.  Well done!
