Creative homework.

Year 4 have produced some very professional leaflets as part of their creative homework about North America.

Anglo Saxons - Wonderful Weavers!

Year 5 have been immersing themselves into their new topic this term - Anglo Saxons!   A homework project resulted in some fanatastic examples of Anglo Saxon houses, using some of the natural materials that would have been used during Anglo Saxon times.  They have also started to learn the wonderful skill of weaving and are enjoying seeing the results of their efforts grow!  Look out for our next task - Anglo Saxon settlements!  Mrs Blomeley.

Minibeast Hunt

We went on a minibeast hunt. We found lots of different bugs and discovered many of them like dark places to live.

Minibeasts

Our topic this half term is mini beasts. We have been reading 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'.

We have painted some fantastic symmetrical butterflies and printed some caterpillars using a repeating pattern.

Circus Skills

During our P.E sessions we have been learning circus skills. We have been juggling with scarves, hula hooping, balancing on the beams and walking on stilts. We have had great fun and we are keeping fit too.

Creative Clowns

This week we have been very creative in Year 1.  We have made a large 3D ferris wheel and all the children created their own clown collage. We used lots of different materials and the children had lots of fun choosing colours, textures and materials they wanted to use. I wonder what we will make next !!!!!!!!

Canada

This half term, we are exploring Canada. We have been researching different animals, exploring landmarks and cities within Canada. We have been reading about Canada Day and writing are own sports commentaries. In Artis, we are learning, singing and writing world cup songs. Some of the children have brought in real pictures and souvenier of places in Canada because they have or know someone who lives there. This has been really helpful because it has taught us lot's of interesting facts. By Hollie and Issac
