Seaside Subtraction

This week we have been subtracting sea creatures. We have been counting how many are left when different creatures swim away.

Seaside Addition

We have been adding groups of seashells together this week. Mrs Kleban is very impressed with our super maths!

Oh I do like to be beside the Seaside

We are learning all about the seaside and under the sea this half term. We have been reading Sharing a Shell by Julia Donaldson. We have loved role playing in our seaside area. There have been lots of barbecues on the beach!

Let's Explore the Rainforest

Our topic for this half term is The Rainforest. The children will be learning about different rainforests around the world, the layers of the rainforest, animals in the rainforest and how to protect the rainforest.

We will also be having "real" rainforest animals coming into our class for the children to have a hands on experience. They will get to hold, touch and see frogs, spiders, snakes, lizards and many more.

This will be a very busy and exciting half term and the children will have lots of fun.

Clarinet Champions

Year 4 had a phenomenal time at The Bridgewater Hall on Thursday. What a treat it was for the children to play their clarinets with the amazing Halle Orchestra. They thoroughly enjoyed the trip and were amazed at the orchestra playing a tune on fidit spinners. Look out for this being recreated in Year 4!

Broadbent Fold's Got Talent

What a fabulous day! Our  Broadbent Fold's Got Talent competition is  truly underway, all the entries have now had a chance to showcase their talent. We had singers, dancers and comedy acts galore, it was non-stop entertainment. All the acts have now been informed if they have made it through to the semi final which is scheduled for Wednesday 28th June, 5.00pm. Well done everyone!
