Lest We Forget

What a moving moment Year 4 had on Friday as they remembered the servicemen and women who lost their lives so we could be free.

Anti bullying Week in Year 4.

Year 4 have been working hard this week to understand the different forms of bullying and how they materialise. They have been very mature in their discussions and are ambassadors in eradicating bullying within schools. What a fantastic week with great leaders of the future.

Anti-bullying Week

Year 6 have discussed the difference between banter and bullying. We explored when banter can change into bullying. To get the message of the 'make a noise about bullying' campaign across this year we created some images of key messages using props and people. Our key words include: help, be unique, make noise, tell, and be friends. We also created a word cloud of what we believe bullying is.

Survival of the fittest

Based on the work of Charles Darwin, year 6 planned a fair and comparative test on which beaks would be the most effective at scooping up foods. We had a lot of fun this week carrying out the investigation to see which birds are suitable to collect food and thrive and which would unfortunately eventually die off! I'm sure nobody tried to cheat their way into survival!!

Have a look at our photographs.

Anti-Bullying Week - Speak out Stay Safe

This Anti-Bullying Week let’s come together to have discussions about what bullying means to us, how banter can turn into something more hurtful, and what we can do to stop bullying. Together, we can make a difference and take a stand against bullying. From the playground to Parliament, and from our phones to our homes, let’s make a noise about bullying.

Remembrance Service

Our Head Boy, Head Girl and Chair of Governors attended the Remembrance Service at Dukinfield Cenotaph yesterday on behalf of Broadbent Fold School and community. They represented our school so well and made us proud.

World Kindness Day

To celebrate World Kindness Day and Anti Bullying Week, Year 6 have a bingo challenge. They have to complete 16 acts of kindness during the week and mark this off on their bingo card.

Ask them what kind thing they have done today?
