Plant investigation

Year 3 are investigating how water is transported within plants. We put celery sticks in water with food colouring to see how water travels up the stem. After an hour we noticed the celery stem changing colour and after a day even the leaves at the top turned red and blue.

Y6 Star of the week 12-5-23

Well done to all of year 6. We are so incredibly proud of your positivity this week through your SATS tests. These tests were not easy yet many of you had smiles on your faces every single day.

You all deserve the Headteacher's Award today.

Well done Keaton and Aaron for winning the good to be Green Award.

Congratulations to our Silver and Gold Award winners too!

Can you guess the planet?

During our SATs morning breakfast we found a shape that looked like a planet. Can you guess it? Yes - it is Saturn in our rice crispies! Made all year 6 laugh.

Super Forest School Fun!

What a busy few weeks we have had in forest school!  Playing Forest Ranger and Closer, Closer, Making friends with leopard slugs, relaxing in the hammocks, making mini fires, safely whittling sticks to make are own skewers to roast marshmallows, making delicious s'mores and celebrating the coronation with tasty cupcakes. Well done everyone. Looking forward to next week!

Timestable Superstars

Year 4 are working really hard to improve their timestables scores. They've been testing each other, practising at home and really focusing. I'm super proud of all their efforts. Keep it up Year 4 as it's only a few weeks to your test.
