Forest school in the rain

The rain did not dampen the spirits of the children in Year 1.  They have been making super fairy and pixie houses, looking after blue Alder Beetles and balancing on the slack line.  They also enjoyed playing 123 Where are you?.  I was really impressed by their teamworking skills.

Year 6 Arts Award

Today we celebrated our Arts Award achievement. Our year 6 pupils received their Arts Award certificate linked to working with an artist in school around the topic of ‘Keen to be Green’. Where we had a focus on our environment and clean air.

Madam Mayor's Visit to Year 4

Year 4 had the privilege to attend the Year 6 Art's Award celebration assembly today. It was lovely to see them get their awards. Madam Mayor then took a look around school and we were able to ask her some questions. Did you know that her favourite colour is yellow and her chain of office is valued at £100,000?

Year 5's morning with Freddy Fit!

Year 5 enjoyed their session with Freddy Fit last week!  The class showed amazing stamina and resilience when they engaged in all of the activities!  These included hand to eye coordination games, hoola hooping, skipping and, most importantly, team work!  They were amazing!  Well done Year 5!  Mrs Blomeley

Post SATs picnic

Year 6 you have worked incredibly hard this week and we are all so proud of you.

What a treat this afternoon having our picnic at Gorse Hall.

Y4 Super Stars

Fantastic work this week from Nathan and Ellis who are our Good to be Green winners this week. Matilda earned the star of the week because of her fantastic explanation of the water cycle and Faye for her continual enthusiasm in every subject. Well done Year 4.

Stars of the week

Super work from Year 3 this week. Class merits were awarded for a great diary writing and fantastic historical knowledge during our school trip to the Air Raid Shelter in Stockport. Well done to our Good to Green lottery winners. A massive congratulations to the children who received their silver awards.
